What is the downtime involved?
Any initial redness and discomfort should disappear after around 2 hours, although mild discomfort may persist for 48 hours. Swelling, tenderness, redness, and bruising in the area may persist for several days.
What does aftercare involve?
For the first 48 hours post-treatment you should: apply an ice pack to the treated area to reduce swelling; avoid strenuous exercise; drink plenty of water; avoid steam rooms and saunas; eat extra fibre and protein whilst reducing carbohydrates to maximise results.
